Painter - Trainee

Working as part of our very experienced paint shop team, you will provide a supporting role in all areas of the department. 

This could include anything from pre-paint preparation to post-paint work and will consist of helping to keep the paint area clean and tidy. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person at what is a very exciting time for Caterham Cars, moving to a new facility with the latest paint technology equipment. 

Caterham Cars has exceptionally high standards of which we are very proud, which is clearly evident in the quality finish of our painted product. 

We offer full training, and for those who want to excel, there are lots of opportunities for progression within the department. 

Key duties:

• Pre-paint duties (masking, sanding and preparation work)
• Post-paint duties (Removing masking/polishing)
• Keeping all paint-related working areas tidy 
• Following the company's 5S processes 
• Learning to work to set times and targets
• Ensuring health and safety policy is followed

Key skills:

• Able to listen, learn and take on board instruction 
• A desire to do well and develop new skills
• Working as part of the team and individually
• Punctual and enthusiastic
• An excellent eye for detail with high working standards
