The Caffeine&Machine Caterham Academy will be the official name of the 2026 season of Caterham’s renowned entry-level motorsport championship.

This marks an exciting new chapter for the Academy, with the introduction of a new generation of Academy cars. We’re thrilled to kick off this next era in partnership with Caffeine&Machine, the ultimate hub for automotive enthusiasts. This collaboration brings together two brands at the very heart of UK car culture, making for a perfect synergy.

Phil McGovern

Phil McGovern is the founder and creative force behind Caffeine&Machine, a celebrated automotive-culture hub just outside Stratford-upon-Avon.

Since its creation in 2015, Caffeine&Machine has grown to be the welcoming, inclusive space it was designed to be. A place where petrolheads of all backgrounds gather to celebrate cars, art, and community across three permanent venues in the UK, The Hill, The Bowl and The Hut.

As part of our partnership with Caffeine&Machine, we are teaming up with Phil as he fulfils a lifelong dream of becoming a racing driver. Along with our cohort of rookie racing drivers for next season, Phil will be on the starting grid in May, piloting his way through his first full season of racing in the Caterham Academy.
