WARRANTY/QA CONTROLLER

The Role

An opportunity to be part of a very small team with a literally global reach, resolving problems for our dealers in the UK and around the world; and also preventing them from happening in the first place.

The Warranty/QA Controller’s role is split into two functions. Decision-making and processing of all warranty claims, alongside quality control of parts, including ‘Return to Vendor’ processes. Thoroughness and attention to detail will be rewarded with tangible results in reducing warranty claims and improving the quality of components being received for vehicle production.

Dealing exclusively with our small number of passionate dealers around the world, you will quickly build a knowledge and understanding of the challenges they face and look forward to putting them right.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will:

• Oversee the web-based warranty claims system.
• Decide on warranty claims.
• Monitor safety recalls and action new recalls when required.
• Process returned parts into quarantine.
• Process warranty invoices.
• Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Liaise with suppliers about ongoing quality concerns.
• Identify and isolate faulty components.
• Process and chase supplier returns.
• And many other associated tasks. 

About You

The successful candidate will be someone who has:

• Strong, clear, written communication skills; so that those international dealers for whom English is not their first language can understand without error.
• Attention to detail.
• Good understanding of MS Word and MS Excel.
• Willingness to be ‘hands-on’, handling parts and potentially packing and shipping.
• Desire to build a level of technical understanding.
• Confidence to talk to suppliers about quality concerns.
• Able to travel to make supplier visits.
• Experience in warranty processing at a dealer level is an advantage.

Caterham is based in a shiny new Kent facility just one mile from the M25 Dartford crossing.
