The CUP has the 2.0L Duratec which develops 210bhp, and being mated to the SADEV 6-speed sequential gearbox which is perfect for track driving but also incredibly enjoyable on the road! The CUP also has a dry sump oil system, lightweight flywheel and limited slip differential. It will do 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and will reach a top speed of 136mph. This is Caterham’s most track focused car yet!
The dampers, developed in partnership with Bilstein are fully adjustable (10 settings), meaning you can have the ideal set up at any circuit you’re at. You can also soften the dampers off for the drive back home after the track day. This example has been finished in Peppermint and sits on the 13" Apollo alloy wheels. Other features on the exterior include the battery master cut off switch, black pack, lowered floors, 620 nose cone, track day exhaust system and track day roll bar, on the interior this example has the heater, composite seats, suede MOMO steering wheel with quick release. HWM was first established in February 1938, Operating out of the same beautiful building since just after WW2. HWM is a private, family owned dealership. Whilst we enjoy a remarkable heritage, we have survived through being dynamic and innovative. We use the fact that we are relatively small to be nimble in decision making, constantly innovating and providing a level of service that only a small family business can deliver. Today, racing cars built in this country dominate almost every formula, but the first British team to find international success after WW2 is almost forgotten. It wasn’t BRM: the expensive and heavily hyped V16 was an abject failure. It wasn’t Connaught or Vanwall, though their day would come. And it wasn’t Cooper or Lotus, who would go on to win World Championships. In fact it was a shoestring effort from a little garage in Walton-on-Thames called Hersham and Walton Motors – HWM. Over HWM’s seven-year life as a racing car manufacturer less than two dozen were built, but some 70 per cent of the entire production survives today.
