This example was first registered on 01/12/2022 and was raced in the 2023 Academy season and in the 2024 Roadsport season. Due to some damage this car was then purchased by DPR Motorsport and the chassis replaced. It was built from the ground up by DPR with new panels, new wrap and freshly painted roll cage and impact bars. It is still fully compliant to race in the Roadsport series but could also be upgraded to 270R or 310R spec if required. All 4 Toyo R888's are also new as well as the exhaust and manifold which has been polished and looks absolutely fantastic down the side of the car and in the engine bay. The fire extinguisher has been moved to the passenger footwell for weight distribution.

HWM was first established in February 1938, Operating out of the same beautiful building since just after WW2. HWM is a private, family owned dealership. Whilst we enjoy a remarkable heritage, we have survived through being dynamic and innovative. We use the fact that we are relatively small to be nimble in decision making, constantly innovating and providing a level of service that only a small family business can deliver. Today, racing cars built in this country dominate almost every formula, but the first British team to find international success after WW2 is almost forgotten. It wasn’t BRM: the expensive and heavily hyped V16 was an abject failure. It wasn’t Connaught or Vanwall, though their day would come. And it wasn’t Cooper or Lotus, who would go on to win World Championships. In fact it was a shoestring effort from a little garage in Walton-on-Thames called Hersham and Walton Motors – HWM. Over HWM’s seven-year life as a racing car manufacturer less than two dozen were built, but some 70 per cent of the entire production survives today.
