Caterham Seven HWM Edition
A Racing Legacy Reimagined
HWM has joined forces with Caterham to create a limited run of bespoke Sevens that pay tribute to our remarkable racing heritage.
Founded in 1938, HWM began building Grand Prix cars and competing across Europe in the years following the war. We quickly became regarded as the leading British GP constructor of the era — with cars hand-built in the very same Walton-on-Thames workshop we operate from today.
Nearly 90 years later, we’re proud to honour that legacy with a unique and highly individual collection of just 19 Caterham Sevens.
The HWM Edition is built upon the Caterham Seven 420 platform and is powered by the renowned naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine. Combining Caterham’s lightweight engineering philosophy with a carefully curated HWM specification, the car delivers an engaging and highly focused driving experience both on the road and on track.
Available in either the S3 standard chassis or the larger SV chassis, each example is factory built and finished to a distinctive HWM specification. The standard equipment reflects the character of the car, with a number of bespoke details created specifically for this limited run. These include the exclusive HWM Green paintwork, special HWM nose cone and badging, and a numbered dash plaque identifying each car within the series.
Design elements such as the HWM-inspired vertical bar grille and Alta race car-inspired side panel louvres further give the car a unique identity, while details like the Retroham rear panel badge, painted headlight bowls and Supersprint-style dashboard complete the carefully considered specification.
Owners are also able to further personalise their car through a range of options. From performance upgrades such as track-focused suspension, enhanced braking systems, and limited-slip differentials, to aesthetic and interior options including bespoke paint finishes, alternative wheel designs, signature trim details, or even the Brooklands-style aero screens for a more classic open-top experience, the options list allows each HWM Special to be tailored to its owner while retaining the purity and simplicity that define the Caterham Seven driving experience.
Join our CEO, Guy Jenner, and Sales Manager, Oliver White, as they discuss this special project — from the inspiration drawn from our racing heritage to an in-person specification walk-around of the cars.
